Illa Liendo Tagle

A native of Cusco, Illa writes about the Andes, from the Andes. Illa has a career in publishing, journalism and culture, built over years of living in Peru, Guatemala and Spain. Illa’s work has focused on the climate crisis, Indigenous peoples and culture, themes approached through research, writing and project management. Since 2004, Illa has led editorial coordination processes and developed cultural communication initiatives for various organizations. Illa also contributes to media outlets and magazines such as El País, The Guardian and Courrier International, combining journalism and anthropology in reports. Illa currently works independently from Cusco.
