Evelyn Reyes

Evelyn Reyes Choje is a Peruvian visual artist, creative director and editor. Evelyn’s work moves between photography, the archive and analog film, understanding the image as a living space where memory fragments, transforms and reappears. It explores the absences, silences and intimate stories that persist even when they seem to have disappeared. With more than four years of experience in the audiovisual field, Evelyn has developed projects that bring together direction, editing and image-making, working on both personal processes and professional commissions. Currently part of Kamlú as creative director and filmmaker. Evelyn completed the Diploma in Audiovisual Preservation and Restoration (DiPRA), where an interest in archives, analog film and the possibilities of rereading images of the past deepened. This artistic practice is a territory in evolution: a place where the different areas it crosses converge and from which Evelyn continues to build the universes imagined.
